A well stocked supermarket and delicatessen five minutes walk from the apartment where all normal requirements can be met and with an absolutely first class supermarket with a fish counter to die for in the shopping area two miles away.
They also have an unsurpassed range of superb quality beef, beautiful selections of fresh fruit and vegetables and wines at incredibly low prices.
There are now a whole range of eating places and restaurants to suite all tastes and budgets within walking distance, adjacent to the Marina, in the popular resort of Golf del Sur, some 10 to 15 minutes walk away and local cuisine with superb buffets available at the Agua Marina Hotel and a varied European menu in very comfortable surroundings at the Golf Club. A 30 minute walk along the coastal path takes you to Los Abrigos (a very small fishing village) with probably the most renowned seafood restaurants on the island. Again prices are very reasonable and the fish is superb.
This covers everything not previously mentioned but mainly takes one into the volcanic mountain range of Teide, the second highest mountain in Europe and a superb example of volcanic crater. Mountain bikes can also be hired and special rates are available for car hire should this be required.
Pebble Beach is located right on the coast surrounded by two golf courses. Golf Del Sur consists of three nine hole courses, all of which present their own challenge. The black volcanic sand bunkers have proved a handicap to some top ranking professionals especially when playing in tournaments like the 'Tenerife Open'. Facilities include club and trolley rental, buggy hire, putting green, driving range, professional shop and Club House facilities. Discount given on green fees at Golf Del Sur if you have a signed handicap certificate from a recognised Golf Club in the UK of which you are a member. Minimum handicap 28 for men and 36 for ladies. The certificate must be produced at the time of booking and paying your green fees.
Amarilla Golf and Country Club boasts an 18 hole championship course, along with coaching facilities, driving range, putting green, pitch and put the apartments are situated close to the 15th hole.
There are two modest Tennis Clubs in Costa del Silencio a small coastal village close by. Guests are welcome to join in the social tennis on at least two afternoons a week as well as very good (and largely unused) new tennis courts in several hotels nearby which can be booked on an 'as required' basis.
There is a water sports club five minutes walk from the apartment situated in the marina which is currently being created. There are catamarans, wind surfers, sailboards, motor scooters or canoes available for hire, or courses of instruction can be arranged. There is also a small bar/restaurant alongside with full shower and changing facilities.
The PADI recognised diving school have their own boats - try diving. Open water courses, advanced or Divemaster courses can all be arranged through this school (or others).
There are also recreational dives available to see such sights as the yellow mountain or the giant rays nearby - an absolutely unforgettable experience and well worth doing.
There is a coastal path directly in front of the apartment as well as numerous other walks. For going further afield there is the Teide National Park for public picnics, BBQ's, walking etc or for the more adventurous there are numerous mountain trails up in the hills five miles away.
Ample opportunity for this most commendable pursuit. Sitting on the patio hardly seeing a soul and keeping an eye out for dolphins in the bay opposite.
We would usually recommend flights from Birmingham or Bristol, normally a four-hour flight and a ten minute taxi ride from the airport to the apartment.
We can arrange for a welcome pack to suit your time of arrival. A hire car can be organised to meet you at the airport or, perhaps the best option, a taxi to deliver you to your apartment.
The cost of flights varies depending on the availability and the time of year but generally range £140 to £190 (Monarch often come out well on prices ).
